Boss Blogs talk about me..because I'm the boss in these parts..
I have the honor of serving as a Mentor/Coach for a second season of Goodie Nation's tech pre-accelerator program. Goodie Nation pairs social entrepreneurs with tech and marketing professionals to create innovative solutions for the worlds toughest social issues. Last year they tackled solutions for those impacted by gentrification and got awesome products on the market currently serving our communities like GOODR.
This year the Goodie team is out to reduce violence by 30% using technology. I'm lending a hand pulling from my olden days clerking in the justice system as well as putting my IP law chops to good use for this years founders!
Partnered with GOOGLE, General Assembly, GITHUB, and other tech industry giants...here's a bit from the Goodie Team on what HACK THE VIOLENCE IS ABOUT:
Hack The Violence is a creative workshop where participants will present innovative ideas using hip-hop culture and technology to help prevent gun violence as well assist ex-offenders transitioning from prison. Based on design thinking, participants will be led through a series of design sprints to identify users, diagnose problems, and develop features leveraging emerging technologies before presenting to judges in a Shark Tank-like style format. Participants will gain automatic entry into Goodie Nation's #HackTheViolence Pre-Accelerator (http://goodienation.org/hacktheviolence/ ) where volunteer designers, developers, digital marketers, web and graphic designers will turn their idea into a working product and also give them a logo, website, marketing plan, and revenue model.
WE NEED YOU! Do you have an idea on how to reduce gun violence or assist ex-offenders? Then join us during Atlanta's famed A3C festival for an Ideation Lab: https://www.a3cfestival.com/schedule/conference/action-summit/goodie-ideation-x-a3c-hack-the-violence
